Lady Gaga revealed that, two years in, she couldn’t be more content with her relationship with boyfriend Michael Polansky and the family of French bulldogs they’ve built together.
In her new cover interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the pop star was asked about the violent assault of her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, and the dognapping of her pets, Koji and Gustav, which took place in Los Angeles at the beginning of this year while she was in Rome filming House of Gucci. The two dogs were ultimately recovered and returned to Gaga, and Fischer has since made a completely recovery. Five people have been arrested in connection to that attack. “Everybody’s OK,” the singer told the outlet. “Everybody’s healing. I pray for Ryan all the time. I’m so grateful that we did not lose him. And every day I thank God for the safe return of my dogs.” She added, “My dogs and the man that I love are my whole life.”
Gaga and her boyfriend first went public with their relationship during a 2020 New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas where they were spotted celebrating the ball drop with a kiss. He also accompanied the singer to the White House in January when she performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony. A source close to the singer told People at the time, “Gaga had a blast at the Inauguration and was in the best spirits. She’s very happy with Michael and feels grateful for his support.” They added that she is “crazy about” him. And in terms of Polansky, the insider added, “He was content to hang in the background and blended in. To the few people Gaga encountered backstage inside the Capitol, she’d say, ‘This is my boyfriend.’”
